Beyond the Resume

Developer, learner, and someone who takes growth seriously.

I'm Yaren. Software development is an important part of what I do, but not the whole picture. I care about building a life around curiosity, discipline and continuous improvement — whether that means writing code, training, playing guitar, reading, or learning something new.

My Journey

Different cities, different stages, one continuous learning process.

My path has taken me through different cities, environments and professional experiences. Each step added something different to the way I think, work and adapt.

01
Izmir

Early Years

I grew up and completed my high school education in Izmir, where my curiosity for learning and building things started to take shape.

02
Istanbul

University

Moving to Istanbul for university introduced me to a new city, new responsibilities and a more independent way of thinking.

03
Professional Life

Internships & First Experiences

Through internships and professional experiences, I started turning academic knowledge into practical skills and learning how real teams and projects work.

04
Germany

Working Beyond Borders

Spending three weeks in Germany as part of a project gave me the opportunity to experience a different working environment, adapt to a new culture, and broaden my perspective both personally and professionally.

What Shapes Me

The things I take seriously outside of work.

I like having different areas in my life that challenge me in different ways. Some build discipline, some curiosity, and some simply help me stay present.

01

Fitness

Training is one of the clearest ways I practice consistency. It reminds me that progress usually comes from small efforts repeated over time.

02

Guitar

Playing guitar gives me a different kind of focus. It is both creative and technical, which is probably why I enjoy it so much.

03

Reading & Research

I enjoy reading beyond software and exploring ideas deeply. Research helps me understand not only how something works, but why.

04

Learning Languages

Learning a new language challenges both memory and perspective. It also helps me connect more naturally with different cultures and environments.

How I Think

A few principles I try to carry into everything I do.

Consistency

I trust steady progress more than short bursts of motivation.

Curiosity

I like understanding things deeply instead of stopping at the surface.

Discipline

I value showing up even when the process is repetitive or difficult.

Adaptability

New places, technologies and environments usually become opportunities to grow.

Still Learning

I want to keep becoming better at what I build and how I live.

For me, growth is not limited to a career path. It is a combination of learning deeply, staying curious, building discipline and continuing to explore new things.
